Compulsory Acquisition Hearing 5 (CAH5)

Event Details

Compulsory Acquisition Hearing 5 – ‘Objections’, will take place on 21st November.  This is a hearing for those who are officially considered Affected Parties only.  That is, those whose land and/or property is directly impacted by the proposed LTC.

Find out more about this requirement and Compulsory Acquisition Hearings here.

If any Affected Persons (APs) objecting to Compulsory Acquisition (CA) or Temporary Possession (TP) requests wish to be heard then they should request to be heard in a Compulsory Acquisition Hearing (CAH5) which is to hear individual CA or TP objections. Please note that we are now approaching the later part of the DCO examination, so if you wish to be heard it is important to register to speak before Deadline 6 (31 Oct 2023) while the opportunity is still available.

Please note that this hearing is specifically for those listed in the agenda, which will be published at least 5 working days before the hearing.

Location: Blended event – In person at Hilton London Tower Bridge, 5 More London Pl, Tooley St, London, SE1 2BY / Online via Microsoft Teams

Starting: 10am, with registration for the hearing from 9.15am

It is noted in the Rule 13 letter that this hearing may include an evening session if required.

The Examining Authority (ExA) will publish a detailed agenda on the project webpage at least five working days in advance of the Hearing date. However, the actual agenda on the day of each Hearing may be subject to change at the discretion of the ExA.  This hearing is aimed at Affected Persons.

If for any reason you can no longer attend the CAH after registering to attend please advise the LTC Case Team asap via email or call 0303 444 5000.  Please use the same contact details for any questions relating to the CAH.

NB. This will be the last opportunity for Affected Persons to be heard orally before the end of the Examination, so if you are an AP who wishes to speak at a CAH please register by Deadline 6 (31st Oct 2023).

Just want to watch the hearing?

You do not need to register to watch the hearing.  A link to the livestream of the meeting will be published on the project webpage and the livestream will begin at 10am. A recording and transcript of the hearing will also be published on the project webpage shortly after the hearing has taken place.
